Technical cooperation appointments are not expected to lead to a career in the ILO and they do not carry any expectation of renewal or conversion to any other type of appointment in the Organization. A one-year fixed-term contract will be given. Extensions of technical cooperation contracts are subject to various elements including the following: availability of funds, continuing need of the functions and satisfactory conduct and performance.

四人斗地主The ILO, in collaboration with UNDP, FAO and WFP, is currently implementing the Supporting Resilient Livelihoods and Food Security in Yemen Joint Programme (ERRY II). The three-year joint programme, financed by the EU, is implemented in six vulnerable governorates: Hajjah, Hodeidah, Lahj, Abyan, Taiz and Sana’a. The overall objective of the Programme is to contribute to reduced vulnerability and strengthened resilience of crisis-affected communities in Yemen through the creation of sustainable livelihoods and improving access to basic services.
The ILO is also implementing the USDRL-funded Protecting Children and Youth in Yemen from Recruitment and Use in Armed Conflict (CRUCSY) project. The project aims to build the capacity of Yemeni partners in order to educate, inform, and change their attitudes and behaviours pertaining to the use of children in armed conflict. The overall goal of the CRUCSY project is to prevent the recruitment of children and youth as child soldiers and to sustainably reintegrate children formally associated with the conflict in Hajjah, Sanaa, and Lahj governorates in Yemen.
The CTA will be responsible for effective implementation of the aforementioned programs and achievement of the planned results. S/he will also facilitate and promote coordination and collaboration with other actors in the sector both at national and international levels.
The incumbent will report directly to the Deputy Regional Director of the ILO Regional Office for the Arab States (ROAS) for operational and administrative issues and will be backstopped by the Resilience and Crisis Response Specialist, the Enterprise Specialist and Senior Specialist on Skills and Employability. S/he will coordinate technical guidance and advice from ROAS DWT technical specialists in close consultation and coordination with the Regional Programme Unit and the regional Admin. and Finance department. The project manager will maintain a fluid exchange of information, coordinate, and link with the UNDP and other ERRY Participating UN Organizations (PUNOs).
